Caring for someone with dementia is challenging, but you don’t have to navigate the journey alone. The GUIDE program helps your loved one remain safely in and connected to their community, while giving you the support and guidance you need every step of the way, with $2563 in annual respite coverage available for qualifying caregivers.

Beneficiary
📄 Are covered by Medicare Parts A & B
🧠 Have a diagnosis of any form of dementia
🏠 Live at home or in an independent or assisted living facility
Ineligible beneficiaries
➕ Are covered by Medicare Advantage plans
🌿 Are in hospice
🏥 Live in long-term skilled nursing (short-term rehab stays are OK)

Medicare developed GUIDE to provide coordinated, managed care for persons living with dementia and their caregivers.

GUIDE was designed without copays or extra premiums to reduce the financial burden of additional care.

GUIDE recognizes the key role that unpaid caregivers play in keeping their loved ones healthy and safe, and provides educational, emotional and financial support for qualifying caregivers.
